Setup stock sharing

Never share a cloud sync QR code/link with anyone, as this may result in your data being merged.

You can share your stock with your friends directly in the app. They will have a live access of your stock.

You can give the usage access on each stocks. It'll allow your friends to use one of your diaper. Each diaper used will start a new change in your friends history.

Sharing stocks can be useful for users who are leaving in same house and have a common diaper stocks or when you invite a friends in your house.

Share your stock

Once cloud sync is enabled, go to your stock page, in actions bar, use

Share with a friend
's action.

A dialog box will prompt you to enter

  • the sharing name (e.g., the name/username of the person you want to share your stock with)
  • Which stock you wan give access.
    • You can set if the access is read-only or not. If the read-only is not checked, your friends can use your stock.
Sharing links must not be shared publicly. They can only be used once!
You can generate as many links as you want. A link is for single use.

I've been sent a sharing link, how can I use it?

Simply open the sharing link on your phone. The DiapStash app will automatically detect it. If it doesn’t work (or if you are using the web version), you can use the Use link option in the app’s settings to paste the link manually.

Once the link is activated, the app will ask you to name the share. This name will identify the share in the tab bar of the stock section.

Notifications

As the owner of a shared stock, you can receive a push notification whenever a friend uses one of your diapers.

You can configure this notification from Settings > Notifications > Manage Sharing notifications.
