Type custom information

Define custom fields to store additional information on diaper types

Custom information allows you to create your own fields to store additional data about diaper types. This is useful for tracking information that isn't available in the standard catalog, such as purchase dates, personal notes, or any other data you want to associate with a diaper type.

Creating custom information

  1. Go to Settings > Catalog > Type custom information
  2. Tap Add new custom information
  3. Enter a name for your field
  4. Select a type (see below)
  5. Configure additional options based on the type
  6. Tap Add

Field types

Text

A free-form text field. Useful for notes, links, or any text-based information.

Options:

  • Filterable: Allow filtering the catalog based on this field's values
  • URL: Mark this field as a URL. Values will be displayed as clickable links that open in your browser

Example uses:

  • Store a link to a review
  • Add personal notes about sizing
  • Record where you purchased a diaper

Boolean

A simple yes/no checkbox. Useful for tracking binary attributes.

Options:

  • Filterable: Allow filtering the catalog based on this field's value

Example uses:

  • Mark diapers you've tried
  • Flag types to avoid
  • Track if a type is suitable for nighttime use

Date

A date picker field. Useful for tracking dates.

Options:

  • Sortable: Allow sorting your stock by this date

Example uses:

  • Record the purchase date
  • Track expiration dates
  • Note when you first tried a type

Using custom information

Setting values on types

Once you've created custom information fields, you can fill them in from the catalog on each type's page:

  1. Go to the Catalog
  2. Open a diaper type's page
  3. Your custom information fields will be displayed in a dedicated section
  4. Tap on a field to set or edit its value
Custom information values are specific to each diaper type. You can have different values for each type in the catalog.

Filtering the catalog

If you enabled the Filterable option for a field:

  1. Go to Settings > Catalog > Catalog filter
  2. Your filterable custom information fields will appear in the filter options
  3. Set filter values to show only types matching your criteria
You can also access catalog filters directly from the catalog page using the button.

Sorting stock

If you enabled the Sortable option for a date field:

  1. Go to Settings > Stocks > Stock sorting/grouping
  2. Your sortable custom information fields will appear as sorting options

Random selection exclusions

Custom information can also be used to exclude certain types from random diaper selection:

  1. Go to Settings > Stocks > Random diaper selection
  2. Find Custom information exclusions
  3. Configure exclusion rules based on your custom fields

Editing and deleting

Edit a custom information field

  1. Go to Settings > Catalog > Type custom information
  2. Tap on the field you want to edit
  3. Make your changes
  4. Tap Edit
If you change the type of a field (e.g., from Text to Boolean), all existing data for that field will be deleted.

Delete a custom information field

  1. Go to Settings > Catalog > Type custom information
  2. Tap on the field you want to delete
  3. Tap Delete
  4. Confirm the deletion
Deleting a custom information field will also delete all data associated with it across all diaper types. This action cannot be undone.

Cloud Sync

Custom information fields and their data are synchronized via Cloud Sync. Any fields you create and values you set will be available on all your devices linked to the same Cloud Sync.
